Garden Layout - Plants - Irises

There are hundreds of different irises, flowering at different times throughout the year. In particular, I love the early spring irises, the reticulata group, that I use (some would say overuse) in winter baskets and pots.
I have a few other irises dotted throughout the garden, and, space permitting, I'm hoping to increase the numbers and varieties.

These are the plain, rhizatomous irises, that I picked up as a mixed collection a few years ago in a plant sale. As is usually the case with my luck, my 'mixture' contains only 2 colours, yellow and white, but they are welcome, nonetheless.

They grow in the kitchen flower bed, and reach about 600mm high in June. The flowers are relatively short-lived, but I do get an occasional 'double-headed' flower.
