Hi! So you want to know more about me, do you?

The Clan
My name is Tony or Cormaic, but my mother and the police insist on calling me Anthony.

I now reside at Borlochs Hall, the sprawling family estate located in a small village about 6 miles from Warrington in Cheshire. I've been enslaved to Mrs Taz for the past 16 years and we have spawned 3 humanoid offspring - one of each - a boy, a girl and a teenager! I am 37 years old, but would pass for 35 in a good light - or so the reischskinder tell me.

Work
I own and manage a paving consultancy company that was originally established by my Father and we have been trading for 40 years. I've worked in the business since I was a schoolboy, helping out and learning a trade during weekends and holidays from school. After leaving school, I worked for Courtaulds in a textile mill for a short period, but the 'cement-in-my-blood' lured me back to the construction industry within months.

Hobbies - Likes and Dislikes
I'm interested in my flower garden, crosswords and word puzzles, celtic knot art, playing Civilisation II - the greatest game ever written for the PC, environmental issues, carboniferous limestone geo-morphology and I'm trying to learn Gaelic. I used to love cycling, climbing, rambling and drinking to excess.

My Movie hero is Duke - John Wayne - and I've idolised the man since I was a boy. He always seemed to portray 'a mans man' with a strong moral code and sense of responsibility and duty. I know all about his dodgy political leanings, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I admire him for his on-screen persona and not his private political beliefs. I think the greatest tribute paid to Duke was the Congressional Medal of Honour, which, sadly, he didn't live to see. At Maureen O'Hara's recommendation, the medal simply stated "John Wayne - American"

I'm currently torn between two dream lovers. The stunningly gorgeous Dervla Kirwan (Assumpta Fitzgerald in BBC TVs Ballykissangel),and the bewitching beauty of Sharon Corr, the fiddle player with The Corrs. I can't quite make my mind up who is my favourite, but I'm happy enough drooling over the both of them.

I love footy and therefore I support the greatest team ever, Liverpool FC, but I still have a soft spot for the yoyos of Bolton Wanderers, because that's where I went to College. Click the logo on the left to visit one of the best Liverpool FC sites on the web.

I studied for a degree with the Open University during the 1980's, mostly based around geology and environmental sciences.
My favourite food is 'The Big Pig', as Mrs Taz calls it, bacon, sausage, egg, black pudding, fried tomatoes, soda bread and gallons of strong tea, followed by a hand-rolled ciggy. I would willingly live off nothing else, but my blood pressure restricts me to indulging no more than twice a week.

I hate dogs of every type. I hate mushrooms and I hate white bread. I hate dogs and I hate companies that devise their trading name from the names of the partners such as "RonMik". I hate ManUre Knighted and Country & Western Music. I have an allergic reaction to washing-up and I've not been able to operate an Iron since I was married. Did I tell you I hate dogs? Well, I do - I loathe the things!

Current Condition
I suffered a severe accident in January 1997, an spinal injury compounded by a pair of inept tossers erm.....doctors (my GP has recently been jailed for sexual molestation of female patients and young girls, and my consultant made up a pack of lies that have lost me any chance of a full recovery.) I am unable to work any longer, and I'm virtually housebound, unable to drive or to walk further than 200 metres.

I have good days and bad days - some days I can be up and about all day, though not very active, and the next day I can be wracked with pain and unable to get out of the bed. When I can, I get out in my garden, weather permitting, or do something with the computer. I can't drive safely any longer, so my wanderings are restricted to the whims of Mrs Taz and her VW Bus. The thing I miss most is riding a push-bike. Such a simple pleasure that I'd always taken for granted, but now my injuries have made me understand how it is the everyday activities, even walking down to the barber's in the village for a haircut, that I miss the most. And not being able to drink alcohol because of my tablets - that's a real bummer!
